(no subject)
Feb. 3rd, 2008 08:28 pmToday I went a little nuts in the gym. I've realized that while I did far more research than usual, that my goal of doing the 3 sets of 15 reps for 13 exercises was kinda dumb. I did it, and am well-worn for my efforts, but I was in the damn gym from 8:15 until 10:20 or so.
So I need to find a balance between just doing a set and getting to exhaustion, and really nailing it without spending all day on diminishing returns. To my joy I found they have a free weight decline bar bench that is adjustable (means a lot to a short fuck like me) but I'm not sure where to work it into my routine. Maybe on B day.
At least now I'm forcing myself to watch what I'm doing and be consistent. I'm walking around with a pad of paper...
In other news of no interest, my new-to-me laptop is killing me. It doesn't recognize any sound card or LAN connection (other than wireless, which works fine). It might take drivers off vista, but the software wants to register while connected on line and I want to get on line in the first place. Plus, if I put on vista and it screws the thing up - will the guy take it back? The guy offered to buy it back and I may take him up on that. I'm sure it's fine, but I can't get it to work with my cable moden with a wire or play a single bloody noise.
Busy weekend and I'm way tired. Food and drinks with friends on thur, happy hour with big-brain people on fri, food with friends on sat, then sunday we hit food, chocolate festival, and then coffee. Fun tires me out too.
