(no subject)

Stuff I'm giving to friends, or selling to strangers - comment here plz:
Anne Rice vamp chronicles - looks new, but still sucks as bad as you remember
Addams family - original VHS vol 1-5
Denon AV surround receiver, AVR-800 120w: $30 because it's 100% functional, have remote and even the manual. It does not drive a subwoofer despite it's otherwise good surround sound. It is fully capable of pissing off the neighbors.

I think I've figured out how to not replace either my laptop or my pc, and instead just bump the memory on each for benefits. Lots of research online later and I seem to need (or want):
2 x 512MB PC2700 / 333MHz 200 Pin DDR Memory for the laptop, which is $55 each from Dell but only $25 on ebay, and
2x 256mb pc800 ecc x 18. Something like that. Shit's all greek to me. $265 on crucial for 2 of them. Thing is it looks like I have 2 memory slots, not 4. Of course I just see wires and dip switches... Upon further review, not only are there 4 slots, but 2 of them have some blank fillers in them - I just doubled my memory from 256 to 512 by discovering that one of the damn chips wasn't seated properly...

Glad this xmas crap is over.
