My dad sat in a chair yesterday - was respirator free for 6 hours.

I'm in Boston - wtf is there to do here if you're by yourself? I think I'm stuck...there is a chance I can change my flight, but if not - where can I go, what is there to do? Any suggestions appreciated - particularly if they're on the subway line. Lisa made some suggestions but...I've already forgotten because I'm a twit.

I ran into a woman (girl?) who has a MA in I/O and works around B'more. Neato...it's rare to find someone with the same degree. No surprise - she works in HR. Holy god I'm sick of my coworkers and union officials. I hate to say it, but the union guys are generally lazy, crazy, and annoying / disruptive. The stereotype has been reinforced by this trip.

Boston?

So I tried. I ate too much free food during the day, and got roped into going out to dinner with my coworkers, again. I just had iced-tea, and got even more tired of the "look at them titties" and "here's how you get 'er" dialoge. Podgey gray-haired men's opinions on young females do not amuse me, no matter how many times they say the same tired derogatory comments. I left them while they watched a terribly dull mohawked street magician.

I rode the subway, which is as clear as our metro, and found Harvard Square. The place was kinda neat - wish I was hungry for there was two of everything there. Wish I cared about anime shopping, ditto, cds, ditto. If I was shopping for anything, it was there. There were also bums, freaks, yelling frat boys, hippies, and all sorts of eye distractions. I wonder if it was actually different than g'town, if I ever went there? Eh - I went out by myself and tried to make a night of it. It was interesting to watch, but I'm not sure I enjoyed myself. I'm beginning to think I like activities not for the activities themselves so much as to have something to talk about with friends while doing them.

On the way back to the hotel I passed the astro-turf soccer field. I did a few diving rolls for the hell of it, and decided to see if I could still do hand stands. I have the strength, but not the balance - I flop over the way I came or overshoot and have to roll out of it. Still, something felt good about doing handstands and rolly things in the dark.
