First I have to give BIG HEAVY THANKS to lightbringer23,
turbogrrl,
lilu22, and of course the omni-patient
dhairya.
dhairya and I started at an ungodly 7am, and half-primed a room before anyone arrived. I thought if people showed up the thing would take an hour. I greatly underestimated what this would take, and can't now believe that I once thought I could do the living room, dining room, and hallway at the same time. We were there for a good 4-5 hours with 5 people, granted including clean-up, but it took two coats and the primer to cover the aqua-pearl. There was very little mess, considering. Everyone worked lots, and luckily most everyone there knew more about painting than me. To my utter shock, minor scraping of doors with some spackle I never heard of (vs spackle I have) made the doors look so good with primer and 2 coats of paint that they don't appear to need replacement or full-out paint stripping. Neat!
I'm just exhausted...tried to spend time up there cleaning, but for me this is about a 12 hour day and I'm going to settle down with my boo for some chemicals that don't smell like paint. Just had to give a huge shout out to my friends and major thanks for all the help, and glad everyone liked the India Curry House fuds.
After showering, I realized I had a blaze of paint on my leg. I decided it's staying, a swiss coffee badge of courage to pay homage to the day's struggles. Me fall down now.
