Jan. 8th, 2007 11:41 amSo school starts today, and I'm trying something new. It's only taken me what...4 years to realize I'm doing this wrong. I'm guessing I didn't nail super-high honors, and none of my courses have class participation bonuses this term, so I'm going to try and make good on my semi-annual threat to not try as hard. So, I'm making my outline structures at the beginning of each term (if able, based on chapter headings). Instead of fully briefing all articles and cases starting each class with 3-10 pages of notes, I will be giving cases 1-3 lines of text - and only adding in what is discussed in class. This means I'll mostly just be reading for absorbtion rather than trying to commit all the facts to summaries, will make prepping go much faster, and I haven't found the things I focus on all that useful on exams so I doubt the huge time / work savings will cost much of anything in terms of grade. It will also speed up exam review, outlining, and studying.
I'm shocked not to be sick right now. Thought I was about to get horribly ill. Saw the oscar weinermobile. Need new hiking boots, hard to find them in wide. Had a good weekend. Don't have much to share right now.
