Oct. 4th, 2006 05:57 amPlease don't run water in your kitchen sink! Don't run the dishwasher!
If you live in 412, 422, or 432 - you're probably in the same water line as I am (José in #402). My sink is backed up - not from my water, but because the main drain line is clogged. So basically, any water you run will come up in my kitchen sink (and flood my kitchen as it overflows). It's really gross!
Of course I'm calling the plumber, but not sure when they will come. I'll let you know.
As a side note - please don't use the garbage disposal as a way to throw things away! While garbage disposals do grind up veggies, egg shells, and the like...they're really not designed to do more than just get rid of leftover bits. If you put large amounts of waste down them (rather than in the trash can) they fill the pipes full of bits of gunk, and the pipes clog.
