When you suffer a serious wound or experience an orgasm, the world becomes very small. There is nothing but that one sensation overwhelming all other feelings, thoughts, or concerns. The motions and sounds are similar, as is the difficulty in controlling your physical actions (if attempted). It's been said there is no greater pleasure than the cessation of intense pain. The pleasurable sensation after a series of orgasms is called glowing. Writhing in agony or pleasure.

I'm happy, so I can afford to feel sad. I can explore and feel bad things, not expecting to face the possiblity of getting stuck there.
