I SUPPORT A CONSTITUTIONAL BAN ON GAY MARRIAGE! Of course I do. You see, whites are all across the country doing and saying racist or race-related things, and deny that there was, is, or will be problems with race. The statistics are complex, and it's easy to look at tv and pretend it's all gone away. However, it's hard to ignore the laws of this country, which are recorded along with judicial decisions. Some of the history of racism is engraved into our legal records.

Gays have been nearly invisible until the last couple of decades. So, the entire country is confused about many issues, but pretty together with their feelings of hatred to mild discomfort with gays / lesbians / bi / trans / people who admit they like sex / etc. If we don't get this ban on gay marriage, then in 50 years when straight people are trying to pretend there never was, is, or will be homophobia, it'll be there in print just like prohibition. When people try to say "Yeah but that Will-Grace show was on tv, so you can hardly argue that there was prejudice" you could just point to the constitution and call BS.

No school grades have been posted yet despite my constant checking. My first exam was 5/2, last on 5/12.

I have to remind myself to give to the Indonesian earthquake victims like I did the tsunami victims. I don't know why there is so much less press about the relief efforts - the numbers sound similar at a glance. I have a higher opinion of the red cross right now, may give through them again.

I'm listening to black-boss-man and not unliking him. He puts a lot of stock on mentoring, and I hear him trying to advise many people with the same types of advice I would give (only w/o the god and prayer references). You know, if the god-folk would stop trying to regulate me, and shut up about sex, I'd probably be happy with them. In a lot of ways we have similar missions.

Oh shit -
For the first time, when booting, I got some sort of CMOS checksum error. I rebooted twice, got the same error. It gave me an option to hit f1 to continue and this post proves that all seems ok. For now. How fucked am I? Is there something I need to do, or is my 4 year old Hypersonic PC finally giving out?
