Feb. 15th, 2006 10:11 amI nailed my second interview like a $20 whore. They noted that the position has been empty for as much as a year in the past, making me think if they can do without anyone in the position at all then certainly I can accomplish the mission.
I discovered the source of the "musty" smell in the office. It's my office-mate's shoes. I thought as much, as Rin said "A disgusting, yet strangely familiar smell." I now shoved her shoes in a plastic bag for the sake of the innocent. If anyone has ideas about how to handle this delicate situation, I'm all ears. It's hard to tell someone: their breath smells, they smell, their feet smell so bad you can tell across the room, their teeth are off color, they have hair growing from a mole that scares more than just small children.
Happy half-price flower and candy day.
I'm tired. Thought I had something more to say.
Edit - now I remember.
I checked the grade spread to see my new class rank since my GPA went up. No dice - everyone went up as much and instead of moving up, I am still on the bottom of the 30% class rank mark. With honors / cum laude is 20%, now at about 3.5 gpa. There is no way in hell I'll be up there by graduation, so really there is no reason to try. I'm disapointed that my boost in grade has no meaning, and that there is no reason to strive for better grades (not that I have luck achieving them). Now the only thing that seems reasonable is to not fall into the bottom half of the class, as if that mattered.
