Mar. 14th, 2005 07:55 amUh, ow. Entire upper body - shot. Lower back, making me get out of chairs like an old man. Shin splints...my god they're killing me. Calves ok but tired, my quads are achey. It's hard to walk. Ice and tightly-laced boots didn't remedy the situation. I think I'll take the day OFF from the gym.
I am a domestic goddess. All the laundry is done, the dry-cleaning is picked up, dishes are washed, kitchen counter is less scary...sad that I've been in school so long having the time to do chores is a gift. Groceries were picked up in mass...and Trader Joes makes me happy. FRESH fruit slices, DARK chocolate covered ginger!? My god...gulpchompgluttonsincomeyumgulpmore
Wow - DJ high. Sort-of-shopped with Kelowna yesterday, and learned that DJing is just nuts. Techniques 1200s were only $450 in GuitarWhatever in 7 corners - I assume w/o the bi-directional stylus. What blew me away was the (new?) digital turntables. I don't know where you get the disks, but you can have all the benefits of vinyl on a cd - giant cd that spins on a turntable. You can...scratch with cds. I had no fucking idea. It's beautiful - real djing...wow technology. Who knew. Of course, I go to places where the DJ could be replaced with shuffle play, but that's how I like it. I respect technique, I just don't enjoy it per se.
At 9am today some insane trades going down in my name. Trying not to think about the high-risk purchases. Consoling myself with the fact that 2 of my blue-chip stocks are still down 50% after many years, while only CAT has saved my portfolio.
