If you haven't seen the scary pic of [profile] shadow27's dog you need to. Make sure you've had a bowl movement first.
I have no idea what you're talking about. )

It won't matter to anyone but me, but I got my performance appraisal this week(late as hell yeesh). I received it with an apology, on the 5 pt scale I only got Highly Effective, rather than Outstanding. Considering I just started in November, and that I got about the highest marks you can have w/o getting Outstanding, I'm happy. I was kind of hoping for the Outstanding, but the sheepish look on delivery was reward enough.

I'm happier about the job offers they keep throwing at me than the specific rating, and I maintain my interest in a 14 at some point. It's just that it seems dangerous to try and learn a new job while slugging my way through school. Still, I like appreciation and I feel like I got it at work. I mean they say nice things about me and my work all the time, but this is on paper. Now I have a good rating and will soon have a TS clearance - which translates into the ability to move around to many more jobs. I have no desire to move, love my job and the people I work with, but I love feeling free. Oh, they also gave me some kind of accommodation that I paid little attention to. It's more like a general message - they've rewarded me with things that could get me another job, a form of trust in my view. Where I came from they tried to attack you all the time, and make sure you never looked good on paper so you'd have a harder time leaving.

My parents taught me to always open doors, that I could decide whether I wanted to cross the threshold at a later date - but never to close doors before I reached them. Law school is a door - I may not practice, but since I have the ability and opportunity to go, it seems silly not to.

I'm Lisa Simpson during the teacher strike...rate me! Rate me!
