The girl I sit next to through most of law school has the silliest thing that drives me nuts. Any advice on how I can tell her she should brush her hair? I know this sounds totally petty, but it's just so...I mean the girl is dressed very professionally, is very well organized and put together, but her hair always has a bazillion little flyaways floating around. It's medium length straight brown hair - not that hard to manage, sister! I just am dying to brush it myself, or tell her, but there is no way I can imagine telling her w/o her being annoyed. Unfortunately, I'll probably wind up telling her someday, knowing me. I know, I'll abduct her with chlorophorm in the parking lot and brush her hair. Reasonable compromise? Aigh!
I thought she was paranoid about me staring down her shirt when I noticed her pulling her shirt up as I talked to her. I've since, in my 'ohmigod am I acting creepy w/o meaning to' haze been watching other people, and notice that she often pulls her shirt up, as do many other women. Leave it to paranoid me to take it personally "I wasn't looking, honest! I don't think I was looking..." I noticed Professor Boardman pulls her shirt up while lecturing, but then again as I stayed after class to write email last night I noticed that about 10 guys stayed until she had to politely stop taking questions. It seems she's quite the object of um...attention. I thought and think she is cute as all hell - a nice slice of librarian shique, but the more she talks the less I care about her looks. She's just dark and funny as hell. Most importantly, she brushes her hair...
