Take my speakers
Oct. 14th, 2003 07:33 amI had a very gay shopping day yesterday:
1. Service my silver-gray honda civic! Got all fluffy with
cyntergomes in the waiting room, offending all sorts of closeted as folk!
2. Went out to get the speakers consumer reports told me were a 'best-buy' at best buy, by some coincidence. I had a 10% off coupon and 175 in gift certs. I show up, and the sony speakers I was going to buy were shaped odd and were that new silver-gray that all the new compenents are. I decided to buy the better shaped all-black Bose speakers instead, and triple the price. Ok ok, they sounded better too - but the real reason was purely aesthetic!
2. Home Depot - need I say more? They have a whole new line of lighting that is nearly as cool as Ikea. Much chrome, spotlight, and funky ironworks shapes.
That said:
Does anyone want the big brown cerwin vegas I've had since high-school? They still sound ok, and resemble the "Dude, when you die they can bury you in them!" motiff.
Care to take a couch with them? Dining room table and chairs?
