Happiness?
Jan. 2nd, 2003 10:12 amToday I started off with a visit to the dentist. While normally it would be rude and/or self-centered to bore people with nudity or day to day logistics...
In the waiting room was a mentally disabled man. I didn't notice at first, but after the smell of 3 day old funk and urine quirked my curiosity I noticed the facial features. He was smiling. A lot. I've always noticed a lot of mentally disabled and legally crazy people seem quite happy. I've also noticed that the nicer and more intelligent of my friends are almost never happy. It almost seems there is a negative correlation between intelligence and happiness. That kind of trivia makes me think perhaps there is a god, with a sick sense of humor (don't accuse me of starting any blasphemous rumors).
Question: would you, like Homer J. shoving that crayon back up his nose, chose to lose mental facilities if it meant gaining happiness?
( The question is a bit personal to me. )
2nd Question: know any good internet radio stations?
So far I've found:
Gay San Francisco, Syncromesh, Radio free abattoir, Tempo fm's eternal trance, npr, and wpym (gay dance miami)
My snorting office-mate is thankfully absent today so I feel free to play any old noise. I try not to post about her - she's quite nice but loony as a craze, and makes horrid guttural snorting noises all day.
