NECTAR OF THE GODS!?

You've got to be kidding me. Nectar of the gods? It’s just fucking Bacardi. Get over it. It’s booze, same as beer, same as that wine-in-a-box swill, just booze. A bunch of yeast are born and subsequently die swimming in their own excrement, and you drink it. Oh hallelujah.

Did it ever occur to you that if the gods wanted to drink something special, they might choose something better? I mean what the hell is nectar, anyway? Neck tar? That doesn't sound good. So they what, suck the juice out of flowers? Are flowers good? They’re not rare, but you don’t see people eating the damn things, now do you? The hell!?

I suppose GODS could suck down some plants, sure. Maybe they like that big rotting meat plant that only blooms every 400 years or whatever. Wait a minute – the flower just did bloom. And this is the year of the cicada. Perhaps this is the final sign…but if it’s not the final sign, flower juice?

You know what the gods like? They like you to suffer. If you were a god, you wouldn’t be sucking down some immobile plant – ho-no, not unless we’re talking triffids here. No, these plants are too easy for your god-like need to abuse. You’d drink people – that’s right, drink em. Not in a blender, not really dead, you'd drink them while they suffered. I can see it now, breaking their limbs and stripping the meat from the bones. Leg bones would be the longest, so they’d tear off your fucking legs! You’d writhe and scream, but there’s no getting away from the gods – no! Then you know what I…they’d do? They'd poke you with your own leg-bone! They’d use that bone to make you bleed, then wipe your swirly blood on the bone and lick it off! That’s right, they'd treat you like a human lik-m-aid.
