That does it - I'm upgrading my monitor to a LCD. Think I can sell the old 19" regular monitor for much? There is a Viewsonic LCD 19" monitor on sale at best buy for like $700.

Ya gotta remember, with CRTs, the dimensions are the size of the tube, not the viewable area. With that said, why not just get an 18"... you're probably still gonna come out ahead. Unless of course you want really high res (1600x1280), and there are other areas where you could save as well, like, are you planning on having built-in speakers (about useless), or a DVI connector (you may not have a need, and the monitor life expectancy may not warrant getting one now).
