Shit. I really want to go out, but it is all to clear that I can't just pull this paper out of my ass. I can probably afford the 2 hours I might spend in the club, but I can't afford feeling tired all day tomorrow and only starting to be productive between 2pm and 4.
School has become more important to be as I've put more time into it. I know I can miss one more night, one more week, and what am I missing? Head spinning with thought but no time or reason to complete any of it.

Luck with the paper - anyone worth a damn will understand.

Date: 2004-02-28 11:51 pm (UTC)Law school is all about preparation for being a lawyer. Part of that is developing the crucial skill of being able to:
*write well when you've been awake for 36 hours straight,
*formulate logical thoughts while battling the hangover from hell (from entertaining the clients, of course),
*create quality work-product on an insane deadline,
and so forth.
Making sure that you get enough rest and have enough time to write a law school paper is like studying for the LSAT, and giving yourself 45 minutes to take a practice section that you'll only have 30 minutes for in the test itself.
I'm actually only half joking.
