Filling out a TS clearance is a royal pain. I am supposed to go back 10 years for places I've lived, with a person as a reference for each place, schools I've attended back for all of college regardless of time passed, with a person as a reference for each (I don't think I know anyone from college anymore, and going to NoVa I was never on campus except for rare classes and exams), and then add good references to be interviewed in detail. I had no idea they actually interviewed.

If any spooks ask about José, please inform them I am a Islamic dissident immigrant crack-smoking cannibalistic pedophile. I am sick of asking my friends who happen to live places besides clubs if they wouldn't mind being referenced. Yes I'm open about that, that, and that. Yes, it's ok if you don't want to for any reason whatsoever.

I like the idea of TS clearance though - especially now that an almanac is terrorist subversion. Paranoia aside, carrying around one is weird. Fear aside, how scared are we of people who need almanacs to plan destruction?

Since I am a little over the whole constant introspection, development, and self-indulgent pondering...I have didly to write about. Yesterday I got up, went to work. I worked. I hit the gym on the way home, doing upper body (chest, shoulders F&B, arms), then went home to eat spaghetti out of a pot while talking on the phone quite rudely (but getting very good news from a friend). I then talked to friends on the phone, IMd, emailed, studied for fall term, played diablo, and made NYE plans. Yawn. Doesn't make much of anything to write about.

NY resolution - I resolve not to mark arbitrary dates with promises to improve myself or my situation.

Hey...you know ME from college...but you were in grad school ;) I'll be sure to mention your fascination with explosive materials and the jihad you keep talking about in your sleep ;)

I'm still jealous about the spaghetti :)

When I'm back to 100% you've gotta hit the gym with me...do need your assistance in a few areas ;)

Yargh...I read your stuff all the time and know that I know you, but since you neglect to put your name and/or picture in your profile I do not actually know who UB! On the other hand, I knew lickitounge at a glance. He beat the shit out of pikachu when they first met, and was part of the early team rocket. GEEK = ME

Kim: "Oh yeah, not only do I know him, well, but he slept with my roommate before he jumped back in the closet..."
Int: "Male or female?"
Kim: "Well, which one?"
Int: "The rommate he slept with."
Kim: "Well, which one?"

I love my life!
(even if I exaggerate somewhat)

clearances are a pain. you have to at least put someone down as a reference who knew you at said time period, not necessarily attended school or lived with you or what ever.

i never did get my clearance. guilt by assosiation, apparently. i was never denied, though. i got out of there before i got denied which is worse than just giving up.
good luck

The funny thing is when I get my clearance I want to be one of those hard to find stable references for us clubby people. If you need one, I just know you as a fun family girl :)
