Sue! Does anyone know where Sue (gecko) is on LJ? We talked last night and she told me her LJ name like 10 times and I could not retain it in my seive-like brain for more than a...oh look something shiny.
Ok I'm sorry all I do in LJ is bitch n' whine, but wow Alchemy was weak for me last night. Maybe it was uber-awsome for other people, but for me:
*didn't know many people there (was hoping so close to the holidays there would be a big crowd. HOWEVER I did get to see at least a couple of folks I haven't seen in a while so that was nice. In fact, I got to spend some time talking since there was less people and no good music. Speaking of...
*snyth-pop snyth-pop snyth-pop all fucking night long. Ick. Well, they did play some good songs when I was there early in the evening, but only about 3-4 that I recall (and even they were kinda old and mellow) and then it was just "keep the sheep on the dance floor" the rest of the night. One kind of industrial song almost cleared the floor.
*didn't get to dance once. I would have danced to dead stars, but no the drivel was worse than the lowest of synthy graves. VNV is what dribbles out of your ass when you're sick. VNV = VIU (Vomitting In Urinal, because you couldn't make it all the way through the b'room)
*when you're not running around and dancing it's kinda chilly in there!
*lots of teeny girls I didn't know. I liked the teeny little girls, there were a bunch of them. I don't mean skinny, I mean really little! Unfortunately I didn't know them or anyone that was talking to one of them. Le sigh, something to look at.
*at least 3 guys with mohawks spinning lightsticks. This whole meaningless punk look still annoys me - it does every time I go to the food court in a mall too, where they are born. Breakdancing with mohawks...

Date: 2003-12-19 05:39 am (UTC)I'd tell you to tell me at the party tonight, but since I never make it out to your parties :( (hey I think my "You live way out in the country" reason makes perfect sense!)

Date: 2003-12-19 06:31 am (UTC)Punks not dead + lightstick breakdancing for attention = punk is dead, burried, dug up, and repackaged with all meaning stripped away!
"I have chunks of punks like you in my stool..."

I serve a purpose!

yep!
