You'd be surprised. Well, okay, I don't actually graph just a sine wave on the calculator all that often. Because it's faster to just draw the damn thing on the whiteboard. But functions involving sine waves, now you're talking. My TI-82 is still serving me well.
On ebay it's only going for $20 - $60, and it's the old model since replaced by a similar one (ti-86, goes for $120). The thing is you only might need it in spring? If you're not sure, it would be a waste for you at any price :) If you want it I could sell it for like $30?
On the other hand given its low value I was thinking of making it a charitable donation.
