Visited the house and saw progress...in places that don't matter. Since they poured the stairs, they haven't started the heat, sanded the floors, put in cabinets, installed doors, put in fixtures, or even turned the water on to flush the toilets, my toilets that they're using. Ohmyick.

But they are doing work - the back yard has been dug, graveled, and lined for a parking pad. I'm worried they're not making it water-permeable. They are pouring concrete to set giant poles for the back gate and rear deck - curiously these are the free things he threw in when he was so late. When I think about it, the only money really pending is the profit he is expecting - it's only his speed that puts it off (and the stock market is in the toilet, consistent with today's theme).

Why is the stuff I don't need to move in getting done? Is it because it makes sense to do all the concrete at once (probably)? Then why not hire more people to ALSO do the inside stuff?

Sigh. Asking for advice from my guy.
