Jun. 25th, 2015 08:17 pmI'm pretty sure we're now 2 weeks slower than expected on getting me stained floor samples to check out.
Master bath: still waiting for a new design proposal on the dual vanity.
Appliances - still not time and I'm both ready to and nervous about getting washer/dryers to fit the closet.
Powder room - Jordan suggested just putting wood flooring in there as we have enough to do it. It would save money and I loved the idea, but Scott advised against it based on damage from water however unlikely. I did some net-research and found indeed the only worse material would be carpet. So we're back to tile.
Wed Jordan texted me a picture of the windows being installed. Sadly they look like plain wood on the outside (he did say wood and historical approved) so I may have a nudge of painting I didn't expect.
The electrical company called me and noted the split utilities were about to be put in place.
I'm terrified there is a reg that requires sprinklers in all rental property - the regs are so oppressive the entire city is renting without adhering to the regs. I went to the office that gives cert of occupancy, and they told me point blank there is no list of requirements and they won't tell you anything until they schedule an inspection...you can't get help designing the place.
I won't be in there by July 4. Even if I am, the basement is nowhere near ready and it's not clear what will happen with the yard(s). It seems unreal that I'll ever live there. Oh god, and then a security system and a real chance of crime...ugh.
