I stopped by the house and parked behind "our" dumpster, and it had a giant orange note on it...revoking the work order. I transferred the information from it to a text to my contractor. Basically it said the permit had expired (the dumpster permit expired 10/31/14!), it had to be removed, the permit would not be renewed, and before anything could be re-started the contractor had to meet with the local inspector for the area. The irony being if the same city (likely different sub-dept) would review our permits we could start work and it's the city that prevents it. Also ironic is that there are 3 pop-ups within blocks of my hood, while they sit on my permits.

And I just realized I forgot to take a picture of the permit.
