Information about the surgery is flying in. Information about my mother is flying in. It's not good. So I'm reaching out to friends and, perhaps I shouldn't be surprised, my friends are more than willing to help. I'm scared of the surgery and recovery, bad, but I have some good folks I can call on. I may do that calling.

I'm mighty fucking happy right now. Mighty fucking happy. I'm not perfect but I feel like there must be something I've done to earn this happy.

Pickle! I am back to where what I might talk about involves other people so while I don't prefer to keep secrets, I keep other people's secrets, and it sort of restricts what I can talk about. That said, I'm happy, tired, and happy to be tired.

Instead I'll chuckle about work. As predicted, my most annoying complainant took my witness list, converted it from pdf to word, and then sent it back swapping her name for the Agency and making minor editing changes (and missing many others, so a lot of the things make no sense at all). I do witness lists in table format, and that didn't translate well to word so that was a giant mess too...I didn't do anything unusual in this case, but the result was hysterical. I might start doing all my motions in table format so she's unable to keep copying my work. Now, can I twist my work so that there is more that if she copies it, helps the Agency's case?

I'm trying to adjust my attitudes and practices about treating people with respect, but this one is a challenge. She's a nasty fucking woman, really nasty. I misquoted her earlier - I noted she was asking for 2 million taxpayer dollars, but in looking over her claims it's actually ten million dollars she wants to steal. I've caught her lying many times - is she deluded, unaware, or perhaps she feels she is wronged and that her wrongs are justified in retaliation? Or is she really just a nasty little shit of a person, and her disabling condition isn't worthy of sympathy as if she was healthy she'd be a horrible person anyway? Or is she actually a horrible person, but one who is only horrible due to her disabling mental state? Some of both?

I go up against complainants who are pro se, so my win record isn't really much of an accomplishment. However, let's say a complainant is a mental 9 year old? The Judge is 13. I'm not sure how old that makes me.
