So I should apply to jobs, not just look through them and stack them up. However, I haven't found any that are what I do, just things I could do.

He's suck a fucking dick. I'm getting used to it, but I have to not be used to it. Verbal abuse should not be the new normal.

I say you should apply for other jobs, just to get some perspective and see what your options are.

Unfortunately I do know my options and I have good exposure to the jobs in question - titles of branch chief LR, ER, are fairly common plus these are people I work with in many weeks. It's not a bad idea, but I'm not lacking perspective or knowledge of my options.

I have turned down several direct solicitation for the LR branch chief job - my old director still reaches out to me, though they filled most of their positions recently.

The other problem is being further pigeon holed into work I don't like - LR is sort of a dead end, as is ER after that level.

Take it from someone in a miserable situation with no options. Don't look down your nose at options! Even if it's same shit, different room at least it would be something different that could lead to something really great.

It's actually work I kinda hate, but the advice is good. Problem is I'm not finding same shit, I'm finding busboy when I'm a waiter.
