The Muppet Movie was awesome - this is my review, completely thrilled when I am so dissatisfied with so much else that comes out these days. It was true to my memories of the muppets, the people in the cast absolutely nailed it, the story was completely plausible, adhered to once started, and well done. The ending had a rare twist - [possible spoiler deleted], but it's a happy ending. Not a stupid or sloppy ending. The human actors were integrated well, so much so I'm questioning their mammalian credentials (happily, joyfully). Oddly my one amusing complaint was the bad guy is seen reading the economist, which this reader just finished over coffee.

I finished coffee watching a a group of 3 parents and 5 children wreaking mayhem over 4 tables with 3 coffees, 2 scones, and 1 spinning board game. Ok, I fudged the coffee and scone statistics to make a cuter story.

I used to kind of freak out inside when I drank coffee. Over time I've come to be able to, or think I'm able to, stifle the effects of coffee and alcohol. It's the same thing I've learned with anger - I can't hold in the feeling, so with the "engine still spinning, I push in the clutch to disengage the power from action." The advantage is less impulsive actions with far more control; the drawback is I'm hardly able to feel pleasure.

I'm looking old enough people call me Sir. I tend to use Sir the less the person seems appropriate for the title, i.e. 7 year olds. I prefer dude, but by comparison I'd rather "buddy" or even "brah" over "Sir." I'd rather be degraded as a peer than a noncompetitive entity.
