Decided not to go to 80s mahem,
decided not to go to the end of strangeland.
I've pretty much decided I'm not interested in bars that are not dance clubs where the music is so loud you cannot reasonably hold a conversation. It's absurd that I'm wearing earplugs just to sit down, sip drinks, and shout loudly. I'm happy with bars, but done with dance-volume no-dancing-reasonable venues.

Which means b'more :) and beer or no beer, but definitely sweets.

I'm with ya. When I DJ at a place like that I try to keep the volume where people can talk without needing earplugs. I think that's the point of a bar over a dance environment.
