Isn't it ironic (really)

vicarzI am trying and failing to not eat today. I have put many a mound in my mouth *cough* today, many a peppermint pattie, even a few bunnies...I decided to get a meal because I thought if I was going to give in to my appetite I might as well break down and have real food instead of trying to pretend that there is some nutritional value to coconuts sauted in sugar.
The guard at the stairway door called "Sir. Sir!" I turned around wondering why he'd be harassing me for my damn badge going this way. "The cafeteria is closed, Sir," he said. I thanked him for the tip, and went back up the stairs thinking the cafeteria must close early on Fridays.
Upstairs the secretary passed me in the hallway, asking "Did you hear about the cafeteria?"
"Yeah, it's closed already."
"Yeah it's closed - the health department just shut it down."
The USDA, those people that inspect your food to ensure it's safe to eat, has just had the cafeteria shut down by the health department. Granted it's run by a contractor, but that's just too funny! I feel much healthier about my wrapped leftover easter candy now! I think it's time to make 4:00 PM diner plans...
