Aw...to buy freaky contacts you need to have a prescription for contacts in the first place. Good prices here if you happen to be one of the lucky majority with a birth defect.

Idiots are running around with pictures of Obama in whiteface
Idiots are running around with pictures of Obama as Hitler.

(psst being called the joker isn't the same as whiteface)

Don't get me wrong - I'm not a Bush fan by any stretch, and I do like the Obamarama - but I think it's natural for the right-wing nutjobs to go as far as the left-wing nutjobs did when Bush was in office. Doing the same trick to the other side negates calling it racist. Now, I'd argue heartily that Bush was a far better comparison to Hitler's tolerance levels - but if they're going to cry socialist, there is a Nazi party link to that term and while insanely misplaced mixing that with the criticisms of Bush as Hitleresque...well what do you expect them to do? And the joker? That is going to work for years.

This is the inherent problem I have when people try and equate the fringers of the two sides, as if it were equal. Yeah, you had nutbags saying all sorts of wacky shit about Bush...anything from the Hitler comparisons to outlandish conspiracy theories about causing 9-11 and having been awarded the presidency due to being a Bonesman.

However, I don't recall any elected officials on the left making these insane claims. The most we really got was Kucinich banging on podiums demanding to know about the WMDs. Even the controversy of both the 00' and 04' elections went with little comment from the elected officials on the left.

Compare that to Senators and Congressmen on the right advocating secession, questioning Obama's birth certificate and legal status, interrupting live speeches to voice their descent, or calling his political platforms fascism and socialism. That's the big difference, to me. On the left, it's lunatic fringers making the wild claims. On the right, it's the goddamn elected officials. That is not an equality of crazy.

Good points too. The blurring of the crazy with the elected has been noteworthy. I think there should always be caution with inflammatory rhetoric, but courting the right-wing has obvious ...

Yeah fuck it, they're just nuts. Sad that yelling is being used as discourse in such high levels.
