(no subject)

Tried these musician ear plugz this weekend and ... def worth $8 to try, jury is still out. I really jammed them in and wound up a bit ear-sore, but I'm not sure I needed them in that deep. They deliver as promised - the noise is reduced, but equally across the entire spectrum rather than making all noise muffled. Conversation was far better. I think my application was based on the noise being so understandable that I overcompensated for how well I heard thinking it was too loud - or they might not reduce noise enough...I thought this until I took them out and last call and realized how much they were keeping out. Downside - sticks sticking out of your ears that look like bug antenna (they're not really that noticeable).

Asked if I knew that I'd have so many friend in renny-town during Janna's b'day. Heh. Was kind of fun knowing so many people there, was surprising how many strangers recognized qntal, and was great how many LUV'D my rainbow shoelaces.

Gifted Janna w/o failure, though when I got home I realized I meant to gift her with the skull and crossbones ice-cube trays (I said they were for me, and they still are if she doesn't want them). The watch I bought was a failure, so really it was a 2/4 hit rate on prezzies by my count (I'm far less forgiving and far more picky than she is).

Am tired, but am working off the clock. Yay.

Try using the ones made for airplanes, you can get them at cvs.
I don't remember exactly what they are called, but it has something to do with Air or plane in the name.

I use them when we are on tour, and they are great.
They don't so much block the sound as turn it down, but in a clear way.

I will definitely check that/them/those out then! Much easier to grab at the drugstore - all I ever see them with are the foam or wax ones usually.

Yeah, these are the fluted buttplug looking kind, not foam or wax.

yes, do not jam the etymotics in. if the normal flanges are too large, i think you can swap them with smaller ones. or maybe that is just for the earphones... I'd have to get up to look at mine. In any case, put them in gently. They should not be threatening to fall out, but they should not be jammed down the canal, either.
