Happy is fleeting but bitter is forever

vicarzDespite still being absolutely glowy after another wonderful weekend...well, no, that's pretty much it. Hello office, I hardly recognize you and find it hard to think about you because my mind has happy places to go.
But I'm still me. We walked by a gorgeous church across the street from Janna's, and looked at a long series of strings with "prayer ribbons" attached to them - 3 levels deep. It seems they were prayers for peace, and if I understood correctly, for the Iraq situation. "Well," I said, "I guess this display is designed to show the futility of prayer. They have physical proof of all the tremendous effort they have put into their prayers for peace - yet the war continues. Guess it didn't work!"
