Hedging bets: It's kinda late, but I live within walking distance of Iwo Jima, and about 2-3 miles from the mall where they blow things up on 7/4. Is there any interest in a party here?
Plus - walk to fireworks view nearby or right up on them 10-30 minutes depending on stroll, parking if you get here before 3pm, always metro accessible (.5 mile walk), booze/entertainment available here under a/c, you get to see me
Minus - have to put up with me, 3rd floor apt without balcony (not grill or smoke friendly), cars stuck after about 3pm due to bridge closing to non-hoof traffic,
Respond or quietly email if interested - probably won't do anything if there are less than 10 peeps, but may. Depends.

Woke up to the news Obama to expand Bush's faith-based programs. Fuck that, just...fuck that. Fuck this country and all it's belief in ghosts and goblins. You want a fucking goblin? Look in the mirror. This is the fucking left wing?! Fuck.

Also, woke up sick. Oddly, I'm so far ahead at work I had NOTHING to do today, and it's going to be a gorgeous 81 deg...calling in sick for the first time in ages. I'm barely sick, but I really don't want to be sick for FU so hopefully I can head this off. Today I'm really going to be super-sad that india curry house is gone - could use them stinkies right about now.
