Well this sucks - she's being nice. No opportunity to talk about how shitty she acts or treats me if she's being all cordial. She does talk a lot, a lot, a lot, about everything...but once you realize she wants to present a soliloquy on every subject you just get used to it. Sad - I want a conflict. If nothing happens by the time we go back I'll just politely draw it out of the blue. She's downright likable acting so civil though.

Have you ever been away with her before?

Perhaps this is the right experience for her to see you and like you as a person and perhaps will thereby improve your relations upon return?

I was actually hoping for conflict - but I'm not being any different than I ever am. It is our first trip away, but we've been alone (working) many times before.

This behaviour may actually be a tipping point for her to treat you better.
