Someone at the board meeting last night said I shouldn't have carved "NO KILL I" into my door with acid.

I loved the hortas when I was a kid, wished I could meet one. But now that I'm all growed up, I think that peaceful coexistence is, and always will be, science fiction.

Sadly agreed. I heard scribbling in the ceiling today, more sad. I was thinking of leaving a sign, but I admonished the mgr (who I like, but hate this version of "his call" on) for trying to do what he thought was best for me against my stated wants.

Instead of that you should carve go away rodents!

Unless they're the rats from NIMH I have no luck.

I have no idea what that is. (No I know what rats are before you even give me a hard time about that.)

There is a children's book with that title which features experiment-escaped rats who can read.

I don't think I've ever read it & I certainly know nothing about it.

I was told that moth balls are an effecient deterrant, way better than any pepper stuff. So I bought a box. I'm gonna open up my ceiling panel, throw a handful into the attic, close it back up and hope for the best.
I'm so sick of hearing the scratching and and happy little squirrel noises, that I want to kill. But I won't.
I'll keep you posted as to our progress.

I will let you know what my results are. Moth balls...not sure it works outside, but it might not damage the paint like this stuff seems like it might.

FWIW I was able to evict a raccoon from my attic via mothballs. The downside was a couple of days with a mothball smell wafting out through the hatch. YMMV.

I've used mothballs (with indifferent success) to keep squirrels from digging up potted plants, but I'm not sure if they work beyond a few inches. BTW mothballs are toxic - I mean the squirrels won't eat them or anything, but I don't think shoveling 40 lbs of them inide your walls would be a good idea either. I think they will eventually dissolve in the rain outside.

Buy some cheap nylons and make small bags - that way you can recover them later. The vapors can be flammable so if the space doesn't have a bit of a draft you might want to reconsider.

He's right; you should just use a knife.

A baerp will cure all woes.

The squirrels and rats will pack their wee suitcases and up and move downtown.
