Fashion emergency

Just to show that I will never be honest and 'dress to impress' at the same time, I am totally lost by the makeover show. They redo your hair, make-up, and wardrobe. Everyone the person knows screams about how different they look, wow you look great, that's really you, the person themselves feels totally different about themselves...

I don't see it. The person, with new hair, make-up, and clothes looks the same to me. If anything, since they often do the business angle, I find them less attractive in their new outfits. I found them more attractive in sweats. I'm a fashion cripple. Then again, it’s odd that the fashion critic guy wears sweats and jeans. I’ve always noticed when I watch runway fashion – the guy who designs the clothes for the uber uber models, who drapes transparent fabric over anorexic hanger-girls, is wearing jeans, t-shirts, and sweats. We should let them lead us by example, not by what they display.

I guess I just see the face and body, and everything else is just trim. Why would I give a shit that you used pale to cover the eye circles? If you paint a wall, it still looks like a wall – lumpy or flat matters, but white vs. eggshell vs. brown vs. lime isn’t really a big deal. Clothes either hide or accentuate the body, but the cut and hang usually escape me. Hair...is just hair, so what? If a girl is pretty with long hair, she'll be pretty bald and vice versa. Whatever.

So understand when I say I am not interested in whether or not you have make-up on at this particular moment, or what outfit you are wearing, I mean it. When I'm dressed awfully, you should probably tell me as there is little chance I know. I know these things matter to other people, and I would like to look good, but I doubt I’ll ever be able to tell what works and what doesn’t.

After 9 months of waking up at the crack of a bird's ass to say "Oh no Honey not that shirt with those pants." I think you learned something! At least how to tuck a shirt a shirt properly and which pants actually fit. *smirk*

Why did I ever get you to watch "What Not to Wear"? I'm afraid I may have tramatized you!:P You are making the same point that everyone makes about the guy (Wayne) on "What Not to Wear". His hair, his clothes, etc are all things he'd most likely change about someone else.

Yeah you don't care about fashion, but you seem to point out the people in public who dress bad. I know.. HOwever, I agree with you. I just don't talk about people, becuase I'm one of them. hehehehe

For years I didn't give a shit about fashion and I still don't. If I could wear sweat pants and t-shirt everywhere, I would, and sometimes I do. FOr years all I wore was tee-shirt and jeans, becuase it was the only thing I felt comfortable in. I have other things to do with my time. However, now that I have more money to play with, I do try to buy clothes once in a blue moon. But, I still love my tee-shirt and jeans or sweat pants. :D
