I think that is a ridiculous comment actually. So, you're in a relationship, you hit 30, you realise the relationship is wrong for whatever reason, but breaking up would brand you with a scalet P (psycho)? I would think that staying with someone you weren't happy with just because you were over 30 is indicative of far worse issues.
I've found people over 30 can have become choosier as a result of lessons learned from mistakes made. And that's not a bad thing.
