Remember Bork's rants against tort abuse?

I'm ashamed of everyone on my f-list who is talking about Paris. Good god - get lives people. I am in that group of people that like to mock her and what her fame says about USia, but not to this degree. To the best of my knowledge, she doesn't actively hurt anybody. I've heard, but haven't verified, that jail time is not normal for a first-time dui - so rather than favorable treatment, she might be punished for how she is vilified in the public eye. Judges are elected, and justice on tv isn't blind (just stupid). However, I'm admittedly ignorant of the specifics so...get lives and shut up about the tabloid icons.

I'm getting better at this bar thing. I'm isolating areas I'm getting wrong, laws I don't know, but more importantly I'm getting used to catching the tricks and red herrings the bar bastards put on the test. I waste all this time debating race notice...when the deed wasn't delivered OOPS. The essays look like cake compared to the MBE, but I'm getting more confident I'll be ok on this exam. I also beware the Kaplan-esque nature of prep courses to make you less afraid and be more pep-talk than substance. Fear gets me working.

I've lost 6 lbs and 2% body fat according to the unreliable scale over 3 days: 139lbs 13% fat - meant to stop now, but I'm still being responsible (can't work out as much though, but I'm still eating smaller meals and little crap). I still carry all of that 13% around my belly, but at least now you can see my muss-kulls again.

This is pretty much all you get to hear for the next 6 weeks. It's all I get to do. Work, barprep, fall down.

I don't give a crap about Paris, but hopefully this will highlight the inequities of justice in the current system. Smoke pot...never get a student loan! Drive drunk...eh, you're cute and rich, feel free to just hang out in your mansion awhile.

For the record, you can't actually lose 6 lbs of fat in 3 days. Not even fasting. Most of that is gonna be water.

My bad...I wasn't clear - it took me about 4 weeks to do this, and I only decided it "counted" after getting 3 consecutive days of similar readings off my cheap and inaccurate scale. It gives bizarre readings and of course weight etc fluctuate...but after 3 days of consistent readings it usually indicates something - if not accuracy, then change.

You're right though - what I meant is not what I said :)

Ah, yes, that's more reasonable.

It wasn't a first time though, was it?

I felt as you did, that she was getting an overly harsh rap then I realized
she was caught 3 separate times violating her parole. Tw times she was completely let off.

Do the crime do the time.

Hahaha, oooooh Bork...what won't you do these days? ^_^

Seriously, though, I'm praying to Christ that Jon Stewart is picking up on this for some serious lulz Monday evening.
