two things to consider: 1) when painting, plan for two coats for lighter colors (typically a primer and the main color) -- you will need time to dry in between, depends on size of the room and if you have air exchange through a window.
2) Set a time for your helpers -- or else you'll have people dribbing and drabbing in, causing more disruption than they are worth.
