Does modern culture suck? Was it really better back then? I popped the Cure's "Pornography" in the cd player and loved every song. Every note hit a chord in me. Why? I looked at the cover - 1982. I think I was in the 8th grade. So, I loved an old album - that would make sense, except I never heard this thing in 1982 or even 1992. I think I heard it in 2002 or thereabouts. So the question is - do I just like it because it sounds like old music, or was it really good? I still like a lot of old music that predates me. I like new music, but nothing you can hear on the radio. Does new music really suck, or if I was born today would I dig classics like eminem and Kanye West in 20-30 years?
Hmm...I like a lot of new music, but it's mostly electronic. It's often retro - electroclash and whatnot. I ask these questions but I don't care what the answers are. Mental masturbation. And I love that golddigger song. But it sounds like it has old samples.
