Jan. 11th, 2006 07:16 amI'm going to be cutting people of my f-list: nothing bad, but there are people who don't post (no posts since October - gone except in rare cases), people I don't know whose input I don't find entertaining (I have people on my list I don't know in RL but that's not a deal-killer on its own), and...well my list is too long and I'm not being very LJ active. Nothing personal, and not really a lot of removals. I don't mind anyone listing me or viewing this - just being efficient on my end. Yes I know about f-list filters, no I'm not bothering to use them. Yes - I'm so anal that people who list me when I don't list them back annoy me, especially when they have inactive LJs. The only way to pop them off your list is to ban them, but I don't like banning.
School is going to suck.
Evidence - Good: 118 classmates, a great teacher and important class, many day students who seem clueless and undisciplined, possibly not much reading!? Bad: I may be wrong on the reading, I could be wrong on the day students, 4 credits means this is my top priority, requires a paper at some point, lots of memorization, the judge admits up front he is a hard teacher in a hard subject. Plus - he's a real judge, funny, and an animated speaker.
Trusts/Estates (wills) - SUCK: class of smart night students, 70-80 pages of reading per week in addition to assigned code sections for a 3 cr course, claims assignments are on the net but the class is not listed, after assigning dozens of pages of code sections to read - in class started calling people out for unassigned sections, professor expects us to have all 40lbs of books with us all semester, we are supposed to reference code sections for VA all semester but then have a closed book exam, every nasty thing people say about this adjunct professor is true - she's surly and speaks in a monotone.
Mediation - Good: animated speaker, subject I have interest in, Bad: early reading assignments of 70 pages per week for a 2 cr course, later we have written assignments.
Legislation - whothefuckknows, class on thur for the first time
On the three classes I've already faced, I'll be lucky if I make it to the gym on weekends. Forecasting the worst, that's what I expect. I better be wrong, coz this semester looks like a hairy ass-crack.

And shitz, that's Kel's skirt that I forgot to return. But then again, I think it would have ended up in the stash she gave to Good Will. :(

Date: 2006-01-11 03:19 pm (UTC)Wonder how many of yuor resources/books exist in electronic form - either as PDF or on disk. It may be worth the quick-check or investment and then you could have them all on the laptop; beats carrying the 40 lbs of books, right?
