Mar. 14th, 2003 02:20 pmOne of the main points of law school was that I could do it without killing myself. This wasn't supposed to be a life-altering thing, just a career enhancing one IN A SMALL WAY. Having to make up the opportunity cost of (annual salary $$$ * 3) plus tuition ($30k * 3 or 4) plus living ($20k * 3 or 4) will make very few amazing salaries justifiable. ADD IN the fact that I'm not going to be 25 like one of these hard-working kids who gets out of their school ready to work 80 hours a week to show their stuff and pay their dues - I'll be about FORTY.
I have a resume, I have work experience of about a decade...ugh so many things to think about even though I'm almost certain I know that I'll go to GMU. The worst part is the same arguments that make GMU the logical choice also point out that I have more than what I need right now and that law school is just a waste of time and money entirely!
I'm obsessing...
