Dear (Professor):
I wonder if you would be open to a variation of the written format of the final paper. Specifically, I was thinking of expressing the disjoint between common law principles found in 4th amendment cases of privacy of physical packages in various states of transmission, and the current court interpretations of ECPA, through interpretive modern dance.

Yes I actually sent this email.

The response!

"I hate to stifle your creativity, but I like to review the papers more than once, so you shouldn't submit a dance project unless you're prepared to hang out in my study for a few days."

Did I mention he was funny!?

Interesting. I know if one of my students sent me something like that the response would be something along the lines of: "Of course, I'd be open to your presentation of your paper in the form of an interpretive dance. That is, on the condition that you be open to my presentation of your final grade in the form of an F".

I think you should do two papers. (With all your spare time) One that's the real paper, and one in dance.
