(no subject)

I just hung up from a woman who wanted to appeal the denial of her hardship transfer application. Her reason for the request: her 15 year old daughter is going to need (insert surgery here) for (insert serious medical problem here). It also turns out the 15 year old kid is about to have a baby...and after talking to her, I'm not sure if it is her first or not. My emotional reaction is to be disgusted with the mother, and that the child might as well be dead. A kid at 15? Not the first? I mean medical problems might just be an attempt by the gene pool to reclaim her to the drain at this point. I'm sure the mother is in great pain, and it's unclear how complacent she was in her daughter's mistakes in life...but...

and congress is trying to pass an act to keep that 13 year vegetable alive in Florida. Oi.

Had a long post all typed out. I'm just going to nod and say yup. Seen this happen in real life...not to me obviously (no kids that I know of anyhow heh).

I wonder what the circumstances were and what kind of parent would condone such behavior without a serious discussion of repercussions...much less repercussions of unprotected sex.

I feel bad for the kid's babies. What kind of life are THEY going to have?? What lessons will they learn?

I wish more people looked at the bigger picture...

Ideally the kids babies will live with the grandparents until the kid is mature enough to take care of them. It may sound like a cop-out but at least the babies will have a slight chance at not getting skrewed up by some underaged whore who can't tell a tic tac from a birth control pill.
Lesson learned? Mommy is a slut, don't be like mommy.

I know it's not fair on the grandparents, but they won't be -that- old yet unless they waited til they were old old before they had their kids, and as long as the kid lives at home and tries to learn how to be responsible, then it won't be as bad. If the kid runs off to be a professional slut, then good riddance. The baby will definately be better off and everyone can be happy about that.

Sometimes you just can't control your kids. Some of them really are that fucked up.
