Last night I had a temp of 101, my reg is 97.6, so I called their ever-so-helpful stay-on-hold-while-listneing-to-light-rock line. Eventually I got through, and they said I didn't fit any reason to come in, but they would give my info to a NP who would get a prescription in for me in the AM. I figure a fever and congestion over a week point five is fairly clear. Sat AM I go IN THE SNOW to the pharm, they didn't have hte stuff ready at noon. I finally get my stuff, dying in the waiting room, and it turns out it's just something to dilute my mucus (yum) and something to reduce my coughing reflex. Uh, fever? I call back, and the next advice nurse is highly concerned and says I have to come right in because of my long term symptoms and current fever. It's snowing with calls of 8-15". I say oh hell no. Later the snow dissapates at only 2-3", and I call back and haul out to Falls Church. Temp after tylenol 101. Dr. looks at me and listens to my lungs, quickly saying "Oh yeah, that's a sinus infection." Antibiotics for me now, yay.
Let me tell you how happy I am to make two trips on a Sat in the snow because of a lack of staff and a mistake on the part of one or more of their members.
Back to bed/couch. I feel like shit. I am so royally screwed as far as my project is concerned, due 5pm Thur. I also think this just convinced me detail or no detail, if I'm sick my butt is at home.
