My criminal law class might rock. My libertarian version of Lewis Black of a prof is dead-set against victimless crime issues, noting his opinion that crime sunk half while enforcement doubled. Some use that argument to say enforcement works, he says anyone can view the order of events and see crime was reduced in advance of sentences - then he tears into how the jails are filled witn non-violent drug offenders. This could be a fun class. Then today the Supreme Court strikes down mandatory sentencing, which makes sense once you realize it wasn't being used anyway. Judges would just convict people of lesser offenses even if the evidence pointed towards another crime - to avoid the sentence that made no sense.

Advice sought, and no blame or thanks will be granted:
It's retirement account time again, and I'm thinking of going from my socially responsible index (Domini DSEFX) to Jensen JENSX, Mairs power Growth (MPGFX) or just opening my ETrade account to a Roth IRA as well and trying to actually buy stocks. My individual stock portfolio is outperforming all my other investments (except my house), but I lack the time to really sit around searching stock and company information.
Where do I plunk my bling?
In other investment news, WFHS is gone - no really this time, it's a hispanic station. Do you think that anyone pop investors will notice that selling out to the hot new thing is worthless in the long-term? HFS gave up on their long-built fanbase to suck in brainless 20-year-old wannabe rebels, which flashed and crashed as phases are apt to do. XM is filling up with loyal listeners of weird music genres who will pay cash to hear not-crap.

I'm actually upset about WHFS. No, I haven't listened much in the past 5 years, but it's sort of like driving past your childhood home and realizing that it's burned to the ground.
