Last night at chairschool:
Eva!? James!
Next time someone asks me more than 2 times if I want a shot, never mind like 7 times, I will pummel them in response. There is never a reason or excuse to do a shot. No means no for fucking, drugs, and booze is a drug. This seems clearer this morning...
"For just $25, you can take Slash home with you." (interpreted)
It's perfectly fine to jostle my cock with the back of your hand while you strap me into the leather straight-jacket.
"You're the only guy my husband doesn't mind me flirting with!"
"No he really does martial arts, not like everyone else who says they are great after they studied for 2 years 10 years ago.
Brad described me as politically centrist.
I should have talked to Sue longer since she's leaving. I miss Sue.
Spikes are allowed.
Seth cautioned me not to fall for the 'lifer' mentality, to go out and practice law. I saw the restraint his new salary has given him as he didn't pummel me when I revealed 13 step 4.
Kirstin had a really neat shirt on and told me where I could get the boy version.
I was asked if I wanted to meet the really hot short Asian girl I was saying was really hot and danced very well, who it turned out was a friend of a friend. I declined, specifically ran away and hid.
My really hot friend whose name I always forget was looking extra hot in her outfit, though I never saw her with the top off.
I avoided lipstick.

It was good to see Eva :) It's been forever!

Nothing wrong with shots as long as you have a full stomach...which I did not. They were damn tasty!

It was good to see you.

In my defense, I studied for 6 years 10 years ago... I can still kick a 6-foot tall man in the head, I just could probably only do it the once...

You have interesting interpretative skillz.

Hmm...maybe I'll ask him to draw a pic of you...mass produce...then everyone can take you home with them. :P

I'll even negotiate the price with you. ;)

Added you to friend's list :)

Not true - usually you tell someone who is good at martial arts by some key clues:
1) doing Tai-chi like moves to dance music (especially if done at a sci-fi convention)
2) wearing t-shirts with yin-yang or dragons on them
3) having weapons prominently displayed in your living room

To his credit, I've read about his MA experience more from his wife's LJ...and I was feeling him up like mad since the guy was one giant rock-wall of muscle. I was comparing his muscle groups to my boxing development and finding similarities, but hey it's always fun to feel someone up DON'T YOU KNOW!?

Based on my half-assed martial arts experience, I've learned to fear confident dorks. I've never met a skilled martial arts person that wasn't an overcompensating geek (and in that group I include myself, except that I'm still not any good at boxing).

He was highly amused by your groping him. I think it perked his ego up a little. I said his ego. Pervert. ;)

"1) doing Tai-chi like moves to dance music (especially if done at a sci-fi convention)"

HA! I do know for a fact that nearly 89% of all Spider men at Sci Fi conventions are usually Wushu students.

My point is, as a lifelong student of the way, most people I come across that are serious students dont usually talk about it unless in the company of other people who study as well. You being a boxing student whould fit under this category.

"except that I'm still not any good at boxing"
That right there tells me a great deal about how good you really are... Maybe not in the actual "lets box so I can kick your ass" sense, but rather in the sense of how good of a student you are.

"I've learned to fear confident dorks"
I think its more complex than that. In the "scene" (if thats what you want to call it) there is great deal of posturing and thats pretty much it. For the most part I can discerne who studies and who doesnt by the way they carry themselves.
