Dear self-loathing faggot:

It seems as though the pro-life gay guys have driven off our left-wing VP. I love our left-wing VP, and her views are a close parallel to my own. I fucking hate having to represent this diverse group. I'm an old school faggot - I like drag queens, I think people have the right to 8 partners on a weeknight, I don't look down on people for shaving their balls. Still, I'm not tolerant, not that much. I let people exist, but hate the fact that otherwise intelligent people do moronic things. I hate the right-wing as much as they hate me.

Self-loathing faggot - you know why I can hate them? You see, in my drag-queen and hippies-fucking-in-the-grass world, there is a lot of openness and acceptance of diversity. These guys, they're conservative. They like suits. They hate long hair. They think recycling is stupid. They like SUVs, and say global warming is a myth. They may think AIDS is god's punishment, who knows. They have a very consistent set of views, with the only exception being this one pocket of acceptance for gayness, but even there they only accept the church-going suit-wearing short-haired monogomous repression of mormons. They only accept and support the behavior that they are comfortable with. They are 100% consistent - selfish.

I hope you fucking die in your flaming log cabin!

The consevative queer doesn't accept anything or anyone outside his narrow view. He is 100% anti-freedom, with the exception of this one pocket of behavior that he happens to have no choice but to engage in. I accept a lot of behaviors I do not engage in, support things that may be to my detriment because they are for a greater common good. I even put up with the conversion queers, but it doesn't mean I have to like them. Selfishness and short-sightedness is the only thing in the mind of the conservative queer. Self-loathing, their pocket of acceptance doesn't fool me.

This guy, these guys, on the other hand...anyone else able to ignore the raving irony of gay guys who are against abortion choice? I suppose a more interesting group would be anti-choice rapists who want to spread genetic material. What if we were like fish and just dumped our seed in the stream to find it's own way? Is that really that different that going to bars?

Granted, my diversity doesn't tolerate the interolerant. This contradiction doesn't bother me, in fact I have to note that they can exist in my world, but I can't exist in theirs. I'm not 100% immune for feelings and bias, hence this venting.

Not to ever play devil's advocate...
Never mind, for this lot I can't.
All I can do is observe that this supports the nature over nurture argument for "gay" as biological. Conservatives tendto be selfish and about themselves; they are often about control and holding to the old ways.

Hmm...I wonder if most conservative gays are tops? (I hear dimmly in the background...I'm not gay, I just fuck guys...)

Have you met conservative lesbians?

Their line of argument and logic doesn't hold up...I am engaging in acts that are illegal in someplaces, regarded "poorly" in others, and misunderstood everywhere -- but I believe society as a whole should let me do what I want but ratchet itself down and scuttle backwards towards the traditions and values I cherish most.

Thank you Doctor Jekyll.

I've heard the pro-life gay arguement as such:

If sexual orientation is genetic

And the medical establishment comes up with some way to test for it before birth

Then all (or most) gay babies-to-be will be aborted.
