Jun. 11th, 2016 03:01 pmVisited the house on Thur after returning from a trip with Veronica. Jordan was there, sad that the folks who were supposed to be there were not. He asked if I could move in that weekend..which is baffling as there was not hot water, a/c (other than gerryrigged), balcony railings, closet guts...
But the bar has been built, the frig is in place as are the appliances, the guest bathroom is sinked (though they put a hole in the wall to re-route the pipes to fit the drawers), and many plugs and light switches are ready. Sadly the "fixed" top floor hallway looks awful. They scraped off the thick floor shellac, but it also took out some stain...so when they recovered the clear coat, the floor now looks like someone spilled a corrosive all over the place. It needs redoing. Do I move in and get it fixed later? Ugh.
I need to check the floor in the back bedroom.
I theoretically could be moving this weekend. But I'm just not even looking. We'll go by and check it out later today. I was going to look at granite for counters, but the company he referenced said not to bother without measurements.
May 7 move in date, 5 weeks later is $5k. June 1 the basement started being $500 a week.
Nothing has happened in the basement.
I'm pretty ok with things - I gave him some cash, which is kinda bad, but work is still taking place.
