I'm going to do one of these hearings where a raging racist calls everyone else racist, and after the hearing the racist Complainant is going to shoot me dead in the parking lot. However, even knowing this, the EEOC will rule in favor of the Complainant because my subsequent murder was not related to the discriminatory acts of the Agency, and the reasons proffered by the Agency for it's personnel actions were not documented to the satisfaction of the EEOC.
Visiting LA and no people there sucked. It's a shitty city if you're not there for or having fun. Traffic is much worse that DC, which is one of the worst areas in the country.
The images of black and white milk cows hanging in a row over a blood pit may stay with me for a while.
Seeing the racist diatribes on my listserves from my community are uninspiring. There is a backlash to the community cries to stop the spike in gun murders, of people saying we don't need cops - we need more community investment. Oh, but we need to stop rent from going up. And things used to be better, but hey there were more murders, but for that we need community investment. If you mention that there have been millions of dollars in investments, from the giant game fields, to the dog park, to the outdoor kids play areas, to the revitalized park (still largely inhabited by the homeless), to the gigantic rec center with gym, indoor basketball courts, meeting rooms...then the insults really start flying.
Part of me wants to move to a country that doesn't have discrimination laws - an actual racist place. Every time the police arrest a robber, someone screams this is the worst thing to happen since apartheid/discrimination/slavery.
