Jordan said the neighbors on Spring Street, multiple ones, called and complained about the impact on parking to his notice for dumpsters. He's amazed - he says nobody has ever called him about these notices before, and to him these are small and brief. He (says he) was nice about it but is marching forward - noted the permit is for 3 weeks but he hopes it's only a week. I told him about the community meetings and how many talked about parking. I might go by and let them know before it's pulled so they can have a free dumpster to unload junk in - and help smooth over any issues. Even my first instinct is fuckyou, but hey I'm trying to be neighborly.

I'm about a month away from making the next payment, 2 months away from moving in. Seriously, I'm going to live there some day?

At the edge of my mind is dog/security. A dog is a big deal, love the idea, but putting into practice will be a major lifestyle change. Do I get a security system up and running in the interim? I'm looking at things I can't afford to have stolen and realizing I won't have a secure place to put them
And shut up hippie, before any of my friends say no place is safe, I'm in a fire-not-possible building with 10-20 years history of no break-ins except: 1) ex boyfriend drunk (who didn't actually get in, 2) bikes stolen from laundry room. Now the cops might search but they won't likely steal my grandfather's rifle or the coin collection.
But Janna wanted to watch the dogs in the park, and I more followed and...my stupid heart did jump watching puppies bounce around, pack and split, chase and provoke chasing...DOG!

I'm facing a color roadblock - can't decide between honey or coffee/midnight cabinets in the main floor kitchen. I need to be making those decisions now. I realized this also means I need tile colors for the bathrooms too. I love simple gray, but slate gray is overdone now like (what's that stuff called, the cream and white speckle rock stuff?) so I'm sort of stuck.

So I really need to finalized my cabinet choices. However, Jordan amusingly told me he's getting all drawers for the cabinets (base) and uses them himself. I think that's an upsell but at no cost to me! So no plowing through cabinets like I've done forever. Seems slow close are a duh but I should mention those too. Also, I have a trip to the granite store in my future.

Love my master bath but the middle-room closet is tiny. May work on that, but the size and use of that room is the issue.

I barely got off my ass in time to do digging - if I'm going to put things behind the walls I better hurry. Also chalk - was thinking of redrum...but in a never scaring even a child way, like drawing a bottle with a label that says "Red Rum ???" or something silly.

He's decided to go with a contacted permit inspector and I've heard others say that's better too - though I have to be involved as the owner. Their inspections auto-pass the city, but unlike municipal employees they show up timely.

Porch. Yard. Dog! Big space walking of mine. Bathroom, mine. Lights. Wall - bricks to touch.
